Quick Update November 30, 2007

Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything serious. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had much time to put into my writings. Yeah, I know. I do have a life outside of this website. Everything’s been great! The end of the semester is just around the corner and life is sweet. With a great room-mate, great classes, great church, great school, great friends, I often have to ask myself, “Is life really supposed to be this great!” Of course every once in a while something will come up, but the good definitely outweighs the bad.
This blog will be heading in a new direction. It’s original purpose was to be more of an ‘online journal’, giving everyone an opportunity to stay up to date with my life. Well, I feel that purpose has served itself well and now it’s time to move in a new direction.
I’ve never saw myself as a good writer. As far as grammar and punctuation go, I suck! I’ve learned a little bit, but I don’t know as much as I should. My greatest strength in writing is the message behind the pen. My perspective on life has allowed me to write about things that have not only encouraged those that read it, but challenges them to become a better person to those around them, and most importantly to Christ. I know that statement to be true because of everything you guys have told me.
I already have the blueprints laid out, it’s just a matter of time. I’m taking some time to analyze what I want to write, I’m reflecting on a lot. I really do appreciate everyone’s feedback regarding this site. You’re one of the main reasons why I continue to do this. So yeah, until I decide to get this going, I will most likely be posting a bunch of random stuff. Don’t worry, the wait won’t be long…

Thank you for informing me about Colt Brennan’s ‘amazing‘ stats. Now allow me to give you a complete revelation of Tim Tebow! : )

With Kentucky losing to Georgia, the Gators no longer have a shot at the SEC title game. It’s alright though, Tim Tebow made history today! He became the first player in NCAA history to have at least 2o touchdowns rushing and passing in the same season. Is that good? I think so…

So the Gators aren’t having the best year, big deal! However, that doesn’t mean our Quarterback isn’t doin work!
Tim Tebow…What A Beast! Here’s what he did on Saturday against South-Carolina:
- He rushed for a career high 5 touchdowns on Saturday
- He broke Florida’s single-season rushing touchdown record. He now has 19
- He’s 3 rushing touchdowns shy of breaking the All-Time Div. 1 leader mark
- Had a career-best 304 yards passing completing 22-32 passes and totaled 424 yards of total offense
- Gained 120 yards on the ground on 26 carries
- He’s already the single-season SEC record-holder for touchdowns by a quarterback
- He’s broken the school record for the most rushing touchdowns in a game in school history
- Extended his school-record touchdown scoring streak to 12 games
And if that isn’t good enough, He’s already being considered to be the first Sophomore Quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy! Recently the AP polled 23 Hesiman voters and Tebow won. They’re saying the only reason he won’t get it is because he’s a younger classman. (It’s a dumb reason if you ask me.) If it doesn’t happen this year, it will before he graduates. So yeah, maybe the Gators aren’t having the best year, they’ll be back. Tebow’s doin work!

I took my car into the shop earlier today and originally I had planned to have one of my friends come and pick me up when I was done. It was so nice outside that I just decided to walk myself back to campus. Besides, I haven’t taken a nice walk in a very long time. So off I went. I was instantly captivated by the brown and orange leaves scrambled across the sidewalks. Every few minutes, the cool breeze would brush across my face and the blue sky made everything that much more beautiful. As I continued to walk, I started to realize how many things we take for granted… (more…)
