It’s been an awesome week, I had so much fun. Expect some posts soon, but not right now. I’m SUPER tired and I’m just gonna head to my dorm room and do absolutely nothing until class tomorrow  : )

Till next time…

I am a liar, who has lied so much that those closest to me find it hard to believe the words that come out of mouth…

I am a manipulator, who has smuggled his way out of so many things…

I am a prideful person, who has ignored the voice of the Lord too many times…

I am my own worst enemy, allowing my past to have too much control in my life…

I am on a journey, trying to figure out what life is all about…

I am a friend, to those I thought were my friends too…

I am a failure, making one too many mistakes…

I am disappointed, trying to understand the choices my friends have made…

I am humble, having one desire; being broken before the Lord…

I am a sinner, saved by grace, who’s been given another chance to do things right

It’s not that I didn’t love you; it’s not that I didn’t care
If you want to blame anything, blame the pride that consumed the deepest part of my soul
My father used to say to me; “Son, time will tell”
Well time has passed, and our destines are becoming oh so clear
I’m going one way; you’re going another
My destiny is still being unfold; yours is very clear
Time has told…

The Dorms open up today, which means were that much closer to ceferteria food, which means I can save my money and not buy groceries!

It’s gonna be a sock rolid day!  ; )

So based off the amount of comments my last post revieced, I’m contemplating on whether or not I should write another post regarding that topic. I think I will, but who knows. I guess you’ll have to come back later this week and find out : )

Handicapped in a Bible College? August 9, 2007

I have to be honest; I often struggle with the fact that I live in a Christian environment located on a Bible College campus. The experience isn’t real enough for me; it feels more like a first class flight with very little turbulence along the way. “Turbulence” meaning we don’t get to experience the every day trials that life consists of on a daily basis. I have a hard time trying to understand how my “Dorm Leaders” can lead me when I rarely see them, yet alone hear from them. Then again, I’ll hear from them, but it’s only because they want me to do them a favor, and that’s as far as it goes. Is one “word” from a Chapel service supposed to give me the comfort I need to pour my heart out into these people? If so, then Lord help me. I look around and it’s very easy for me to come to the conclusion that a lot of my peers spend most of their life on this little hill called Rocky Butte. We go to class, we do our homework, attend different services throughout the week, and maybe…just maybe, we’ll read our bibles because we want to, not because of “the assignment” that’s due the next day. Is it safe to say that living on a Bible College Campus actually handicaps us to the truths of life instead of equipping us to handle the reality of it all? (more…)
