Today was one of those kick back and relax days. So after work, I headed back to campus and decided I
wanted to watch a movie. So off I went. I ended up watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and to my surprise, it was pretty good! I always appreciate days like today. Every once in a while I will take a day for myself and just go out and do something…today I spent it with Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Rafael…haha…the coolest turtles in the world! : )
So let’s see…what else is there worty enough for me to write about? Spring break will be coming to an end tomorrow. It’s been fun but now it’s time to get back to work. I only have a month and a half left of school and then it’s summer time! I will be spending the summer in Portland so I can’t wait to see what this summer holds, it’s going to be fun.
My grandparents were in town this past week. It was awesome! I love spending time with them, especially in the city that I now call home. This was the first time they had time to tour the city so I took them to all of the places that I go to on a daily basis. The highlight of the week was when we went to Multnomah Falls and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Columbia River on the way home.

Hmmm…anything else…oh yes! Florida beat UCLA today so they will be attempting to win the NCAA national basketball championship for the second year in a row this Monday night against Ohio State, which is funny because their the same two schools that played for the NCAA Football championship back in January. It’s going to be sweet!
Well I’m going to call it a night…till next time

I realized something yesterday; I’m guilty of taking for granted the life I live. Often, I find myself wanting more than I already have. Anyone else been there before? I’m amazed at how the Lord tends to speak to us. He speaks to us in many ways, and each time He does, it always tends to have a significant meaning. I’d like to share what I learned yesterday… (more…)

I forgot what it was like to look up in the sky and see the stars. I walked outside not to long ago and the whole sky was lit up, it was nice! Oh yeah, it was also 88 degrees today! Yeah, it was HOT.
Finding God in the middle of nowhere March 15, 2007

The following was written on my way home to Antioch…
I’m sitting here on the train looking out my window, and all I can say is wow! We are currently riding through the forest which has a gorgeous lake located in the center. As the water is sitting still, its color has turned green due to the mountains standing tall around it. The incoming fog is covering the tips of the trees; it’s a beautiful sight. Occasionally, you can see a home. How crazy would that be, to live in the middle of nowhere! As we continue to travel south, the water is starting to move at a slow pace. It’s just there, minding its own business, peacefully moving to its destination. Where that may be? Who knows…its just one of the most beautiful things my eyes have seen.
We read in Genesis 1:1 - - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… (more…)

Well, after an eighteen hour train ride, I finally arrived in Martinez, CA early this morning. It was so nice to see my grandparents as I walked off the train. It’s so nice down here! I can’t believe how hot it is, I guess you forget the sun still exists when all you see is rain huh? When I walked in to my backyard, I was greeted by my dog Max. Dogs are crazy! So yeah, there’s not much to say except that I’m happy to be home, I will be playing the drums this Sunday at church, and my siblings are on their way home from school! I’ll write again soon, I promise.
Thanks for the ride to the station Dirty Civ…What a BEEEEEEEEAST! : )

I’m going home today! I’ll be catching a train from Portland to Martinez, CA, where I will then be greeted by my grandparents. This trip was completely last minute and the only reason I’m going is because of my time off at work. This will be the only time I can leave without having to fight for time off, so I figured, why not use that to my advantage? Besides, I can really use some time with my family and old friends. So after a talk with the dean of students and a few conversations with my parents, I purchased my ticket and now I’m off.
To all my Portland friends, I will be sure to post while I’m in Antioch…catch ya later!
